AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin takes its guests on an exciting journey of discovery to German underwater worlds. More than 30 different tanks in all shapes and sizes enable visitors to view fantastic sights that are otherwise only shown to divers. From the source of the Spree, the round tour takes visitors through the freshwater and seawater aquarium, as they follow the water up to the North Sea and the Atlantic.
The habitats of the Wannsee lake, the Havel and Elbe rivers or the Hamburg Harbour are just a few stops on our journey to the depths. More than 4,000 sea creatures – from the tiny mussel to the tope – inhabit this large aquarium. After SEA LIFE, guests can experience the world’s only “AquaDom”. Inside the 25-metre high, cylindrical aquarium a glass elevator takes guests through 1 million litres of water and shoals of tropical fish.
AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin not only offers exciting entertainment, but makes its visitors aware of our earth’s endangered ecosystems. Visitor guides will tell you everything worth knowing about the underwater world.
New: Neptune’s Mirror Labyrinth – in the special exhibition many cleverly arranged mirrors over an area of 100 square-metres provide incredible optical effects: in the mirror labyrinth, the number of fish suddenly seems infinite. Guests are surrounded on all sides by colourful sea creatures and can enjoy an optical illusion that far surpasses a standard visit to an aquarium – a perfect illusion, confusion of the senses.
